About SHY Architect
Who are we?
SHY Architect means Sustainable | Holistic | Young | Architect.
We are a design blog with a focus on Architecture, Interiors, Sustainable/Restorative designs, Home Improvements, and Home Investments.
In July 2021, I attended a business meeting and during the meet and greet, I introduced myself to one of the keynote speakers as an Architect and she asks, “What do Architects do?“
I was not expecting that question, especially from someone I believed was exposed, and so for a moment, my brain went blank. I recollected my thoughts and told her Architects basically worked with buildings.
After I left her, I became fully aware that there were more people like her, and it was going to be difficult to sell a service that people didn’t know the person responsible for it. That birthed the idea to start an architecture blog to educate people like her on what Architects do.
We have transitioned in the name of this blog from theentrepreneurialarchitect.com (April 2022) to mydesigngist.com (August 2022) to teasblog.com (February 2023) to shyarchitect.com (December 2023). And in October 2024, we moved it officially into the architecture website volarchy.com as one.
How we do it.
Our content is based on experiences and research.
ShyArchitect began as a platform to share our views and opinions about Architecture and Architectural practice in Nigeria.
Our Mission
To educate Clients/Readers about their role in Architecture, the various ways Architects play a major role in their lives, and how they can take advantage of such services.
