VolArchy: The Story Behind the Name, the Journey, and the Pronunciation.

You have seen or heard the name VolArchy.

Let me explain how I came about it.

VolArchy is a combination of two words.

Vola and Architect.

I got that name during one of my monthly episodes where I was in pains.

I couldn’t sleep and was pacing about my room, crying and then this song came to me.

“And he’ll say, what’s that you have in your hands. I can use it. If you’re willing to lose it, take the little you have and make it grand. I am Elshaddai and I ‘ll more than supply your needs.”

While in pains, I was asking myself, what do I have in my hands?

I only have Architecture.

Before then, I had tried using names like Organic Forms, Fort Millo, ArchiBey, ArchiVoila.

I started looking at ArchiVoila again. Then I removed the i in it and the word Vola came.

I searched my dictionary for the meaning of Vola and found that it meant the hollow of hands.

So, I had Vola Architect.

But the name felt long, and I wasn’t registered as an Architect at the time and didn’t want any issues with the registration body.

So, I combined and shortened the name.

From Vola Architect to VolArchy.

For the pronunciation, you already know how to pronounce Vol, my issue is with you people calling Archy with the ch sounding like chair.

Archy is pronounced as Arki or Aki.

Like aki na ukwa.

Next time someone calls me on the phone and pronounces it that una way, I might lose it.

We go by the tagline … Architecture within reach…
